Harry Brook took over from Centurion Ollie Pope when England continued on the third day of the first Rothesay test in Headingley near India’s leadership.

Pope was an early victim in the morning meeting, who in love in the third, but Brook did not hit a flowing 57 to keep the host on the front foot on his home place.

He divided fifty components with Ben Stokes and Jamie Smith when England reached 327 for five-144 behind India’s First-Internings Mark.

Brook’s knocking would have been particularly frustrating for Jasprit Bumrah, who had recently called him up on Saturday evening, just to call a no-ball.

Brook roared out of the blocks and finished Prasidh Krishna’s first over the day with an average for four and one thrash for six over Midwicket.

As he was just beginning, Pope came to the end of his work. After putting so much in his hundred in difficult conditions on Saturday, he only added six more before a harmless steering in Krishna settled in Rishabh Pante’s gloves.

Brook showed his willingness to record the baton at the beginning of the next time, took a few steps on the field and hit the Bumrah with four covers for four. Few batters tried to play the Master Seaer with such freedom, and they lived even less to tell the story.

England’s progress, after Stokes had arrived in the wrinkle, stood the skipper when he left Brook to apply the occasional moment of the brute force, including a scorching drive by additional coverage of Mohammed Siraj.

Stokes’ death for 20 years was shy, pushed away from his body in Siraj and spoke to the goalkeeper. He threw his head back frustrated and threw his racket in the air to feel a missed chance.

Sharul Thakur believed that he had been buttoned out when Jamie Smith was given to nine LBW, but DRS showed that the ball slipped his leg and the all -rounder was milked for 38 in six overs.

Brook was spared to 46 when a edge of Ravindra Jadeja appeared from the Pants gloves, but the runs continued when England ended with 118 for two from the session.
