Bexley turns her way to win against Blackheath

Local derby honors went to the Premier Division of the Kent League to Bexley when they defeated the colleagues North Kent Rivals Blackheath.

After Blackheath won the hottest Saturday of the season, Blackheath decided to hit a Home team first, in which several front line -line -Bowler was missing.

The slow left arm bowler Freddie Foster shared the new ball with Bexley’s leading league -Wicket -Taker Fraser McWhinnie and it was the spinner that made the first breakthrough. He removed Tejpal Birdi, supported by Ben Aldred. The young spinners Ollie Smith and Louie James were then introduced when the first power play came to an end, and the latter, who had just become sixteen, demanded his first important division Wicket when Captain Charlie-Sid Speller brought a broken leg to additional cover in which Matt Stiddard started.

Speller also decided to start with a Tempo Bowler McKenzie and Spinner Birdi. The Quickie rose to a flying start to remove both opener Griggs and Varun Anand before a short rain break lasted the inner sessions for 2.

At the restart of the play, there was a difficult negotiation with the foreign players of the two teams, Ken McClure and McKenzie. They know each other well after playing in the same Canterbury team in New Zealand. In this game they even summarized a discharge. The victory for Bexley came to sixth place, while Blackheath, the champions of last season, is now at the foot of the table.
